Tips to visit

  • Bring the following essentials:
    • Swimsuit for everyone that will get wet. Adults can play too!
    • Sunscreen
    • Hats for everyone: there’s an area with picnic tables and a canopy over it, and a few picnic tables on one side with umbrellas, but in the water area you are right under the bright sun. Therefore, if you need to follow your kid around, you’ll want a hat!
    • Shades
    • Nonslip water shoes
    • Towels
    • A change of dry clothes
    • Wipes because I always carry wipes. They can clean any mess!
  • Bring a small first aid kit with big band aids!
    • The flooring in the splash park is pure concrete. This is nice because it makes it non slippery BUT if your child happens to fall (because kids fall, especially when running), and/or rub against the floor when sliding, your child will get a major cut. Unfortunately, this happened to my little one. As he was playing on the small slide, he use his arm to steady himself and it rubbed against the concrete. His scar was pretty big. The staff at the park were very diligent at making sure he was ok (he was crying/screaming of course), and gave me an antiseptic wipe to sanitize the scar and a band-aid. But the band-aid was very small. Thanks to the fact that I am my mother’s daughter, I had bigger band-aids in my car. So, better safe than sorry. Keep a small first aid kit in your car with at least basic antiseptics like rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, band-aids of all sizes, sterile gauzes, petrolatum jelly (vaseline), antibacterial ointments and paper towels.
Small band-aid given to me by the staff at the park.
Large band-aid I had in my car because a teacher knows and I am my mother’s daughter
  • Food
    • If you plan to stay long, and I think you should because kids really enjoy this place and you’ll get the most bang for your buck if you do, bring a complete meal. There are vending machines on site but not a proper food concessionary. Consider bringing something from home like sandwiches or hot dogs. If you can’t, there are multiple places within a ten minute drive from the park, such as my favorite, Panera! Even though, I highly suggest saving food money whenever you can. It’s better for the environment, your health and you can use the saved $$ to pay for another visit to this park or elsewhere.
    • Bring snacks!
  • Drinks! Don’t forget water, juices and/or fruits to keep everyone hydrated.

Alrighty, I think I said everything there was to be said about this splash park. If you decide to visit this place, I hope you have a great time. Being outside and in contact with nature is proven to make you feel better and happier. Let me know if you go how it goes and remember that the easiest way to stay on the loop is to follow me on insta, where I also share videos and more on my stories/highlights!
